Keeping up with the number of tasks on your To-Do list can be exhausting. Fortunately, there are automated tools that help you complete tasks throughout the day.
I discovered Tailwind over a year ago and never thought about investing into the paid version until recently.
Using the free version of Tailwind allows you to:
Use their Publisher feature to schedule pins;
Create board lists to make sharing a breeze;
Join Tailwind Tribes to connect with other users; and
Offers insights to pins and your Tailwind Tribes.
For over a year, I used the free version of Tailwind. You can try it today by simply signing up here.
It was helpful to play with the platform during the free version and to make get a better understand of how we can use it for my Family and Lifestyle blog, Motherhood Through My Eyes.
After testing out some of the features and getting desired results, it was time to move over to the paid version. My first month was free since I had referred a friend to try Tailwind for themselves. Other bloggers/small businesses use their affiliate program to use Tailwind for free by getting others to sign up. One blogger shared how she does this here.
Tailwind Delivers Results
Tailwind users are seeing an increase in traffic to their Pinterest profile as well as click-thru rates on their website. In fact, many of the top users rave about their services and ways Tailwind has helped with their online strategy. One of my favorite social media gurus, Peg Fitzpatrick is quoted on the Tailwind website stating:
“I use Tailwind for my account and for clients that I manage, which is a dream because I don’t need to sign in and out of Pinterest. If you want to get serious about Pinterest or offer Pinterest management to your clients, Tailwind is a must.”
I couldn’t agree more with Peg and how much it’s simplified our everyday tasks. As a mom who works from own and manages multiple clients, it’s important to have tools like Tailwind handy for busy entrepreneurs.
In June 2018, I was receiving emails about ways to use Tailwind from its team. I ignored a lot of them, until I noticed there was a lot of information I needed digest.
During that time, I received an email about my Profile Activity. Those were the only emails I would open when I first signed up for Tailwind. I joined Tailwind for its potential, but wasn’t using it much. In July 2018, I had received 26 Pin Activity and 36 New Followers. The following month, my Pin Activity doubled, but my followers went down.
More Eyes On Your Best Content
Using Tailwind can help you get a better feel for the types of content that resonate with your audience. Through your Weekly Summary page and weekly emails from the Tailwind team, you get get a better understanding on the types of content that work best with your followers and those in your tribe.
On June 1, 2019, my domain pins (those that came from motherhoodthroughmyeyes.com) reached 290,126 viewers. This was actually a drop from the day before (379,602).
Since focusing on my Tailwind strategy and scheduling pins through the platform, my pins not only get a better reach, but the traffic to my website has increased.
I went from 50K views to my Pinterest to 100K+ views in less than a month since using Tailwind.
I know what you’re thinking, there are a lot out there who get 200K-500K+ views to their Pinterest, but not to their own content. Well, here’s proof that my pins are getting the love as well:
